Why it is not the homepage
Another ask box on the public site would compete with the rooms the compass already inhabits. The useful public page is the bearing: how it points, what it refuses, and what stays in Discord.
If Ask is unreachable, nothing important about Liahona has broken.
What it can see
Without signing in, Ask is blind to Discord. It can only use what you type in that session. It should not pretend it has the household week.
Kindex members may sign in to keep one shared experimental thread. That thread is still not the album. See what stays in Discord.
The same rails
Ask a real question. The reply should be honest and short. Scripture only when it fits. It will not speak as Christ. If someone is in crisis, it should point toward a trusted person nearby and real-world help.
